Today I received the key for the studio I am sharing with painter Ann Wallace and Photographer Ken Osthimer. It all happened very quickly and is very exciting. I wanted a space where I could paint and first thought of clearing a place at home. That was not very doable and the more I thought the more I realized I wanted to have a studio in downtown Bellingham. So a week ago I made up my mind to hunt for a studio. I asked around with no success at first and then mentioned in Open Studio at Trish Harding School of Art where I paint weekly that I was looking for a space. Ann Wallace asked if I'd be willing to share as she was looking too. So we paired up and I asked Wade Marlow, owner of the Blue Horse Gallery and manager of the Bay Street Building, if there were any spaces free in that building. Turned out Ken Osthimer was seeking somebody to share his studio. We contacted him. We all agreed and voila! Our shared studio was born. We are all delighted with this new arrangement.
